The Vectur team is focused on meeting our clients expectations

and understands the importance to the industry of having direct access to a reliable well integrity management system (WIMS), operating to the highest international standards.

Vectur Energy Oil Rig

Six phases of the well life cycle, which describe the deliverables between each phase within WIMS

Identifies safety and environmental exposure to surface and subsurface hazards and risks that can be encountered during the well life cycle. These hazards and risks are assessed. Subsequent control methods of design and operation are then developed

Identifies the controls to be incorporated into the well design, such that well barriers can be established to manage the identified hazards and risk. The design addresses the expected changes during the well life cycle.

Defines the recommended elements to be constructed (including rework/repair) and verification tasks to be performed to achieve the intended design. It can address variation of design requiring a revalidation against the identified hazards and risks.

Defines the recommendations and methods for managing well integrity during operation.

Defines the minimum requirements for assessing well barriers prior to, and post, well intervention which requires breaking the established well barrier containment system.

Defines the requirements for permanently abandoning a well.

Lack of well integrity

can result in uncontrolled leaks of hydrocarbons causing personnel injuries, production losses, asset and environmental damage.

Establishing and maintaining

well integrity through the well life cycle is a cost effective method to prevent unwanted interventions which are often complex, costly and generate risks.

(WIMS)

A well integrity management system  provides that assurance setting minimum requirements and further guidance to  effectively manage well integrity during the well life cycle.

Our well integrity management team are the leading providers

of services required to design, deliver, implement, manage and support our clients well integrity management system (WIMS) challenges.

The development of a WIMS has flexibility and tailored to our client. Our integrity management team can work stand alone or embedded in the client’s operations team as part of a specific project in a continuous well integrity engineering support function to implement the well integrity management system.

Well integrity is defined as the “application of technical, operational and organisational solutions

Well integrity ensures

the ability of the well to perform its required function throughout the well lifecycle effectively and efficiently whilst safeguarding life, asset and environment. Well integrity prevents the occurrence of HSE incidents, production loss and costly remedial operations.

Two main building blocks

Ensuring well integrity comprises two main building blocks: the first to ensure as-built well integrity, and second to manage well integrity throughout the remaining well life cycle post well construction phase.
